What has practically changed for employers?
- Check the EKIPNET registration and ISG-KATIP contract of the person who will be conducting the inspection; a report issued without such a contract is invalid.
- If you are using power-driven lifting platforms, steam boilers, cable conveyor systems, and column work platforms for people with mobility impairments, inspections after January 1, 2027, must be carried out by an equipment inspection organization; duly issued reports before this date remain valid for their duration.
- Keep the latest periodic inspection report for mobile equipment taken outside the premises with the equipment.
- Compare your inspection schedule with the maximum periods in the new Annex III tables; the maximum period for scaffolding is 6 months.
- For voluntary inspections of equipment not listed in Annex III, there are no formal or contractual requirements.
