Measurements Performed in Maintenance Channels:

  • Physical Distance Isolation (Clearance):
    With the panels open, a minimum width (according to IEC standards) is determined that allows personnel to turn around and escape.
  • Panic Escape Lighting:
    An emergency lux level lighting test that shows maintenance personnel the way out even in the event of a power outage that turns off the lights in the room.
  • Open Conductor (IPXXB) Contact Tests:
    Personnel are checked to ensure there is no insulation sheath (fingerprint probe) on an exposed bar grate that could accidentally pull down their clothing while walking.
