6331 Sayılı İş Sağlığı ve Güvenliği Kanunu ile İş Ekipmanlarının Kullanımında Sağlık ve Güvenlik Şartları Yönetmeliği gereğince patlayıcı ortam ekipmanlarının periyodik kontrolü asgari yılda bir defa yapılmalıdır. Kontrol kapsamı EN 60079-17 standardına göre görsel, yakın ve detaylı muayene seviyelerini içerir; riskin yüksek olduğu Zone 0 ve Zone 20 gibi kritik bölgelerde daha sık aralıklar uygulanabilir.

Equipment used in explosive atmospheres is manufactured with different protection methods such as powder filling “q”, enhanced safety “e”, and naturally occurring safety “i”, and it is mandatory that these protective properties are maintained without deterioration over time in the field. In Türkiye, according to the ATEX Directive (2014/34/EU) and the Regulation on Explosive Atmospheres in Workplaces (30.04.2013/ÇSGB), periodic inspection of equipment used in Explosive zones is a legal obligation.
