Participation was ensured in the panel organized by the Chamber of Mechanical Engineers on Periodic Inspection of Work Equipment and Prevention of Work Accidents.

The Istanbul Branch of the Chamber of Mechanical Engineers of the Union of Turkish Chambers of Engineers and Architects (TMMOB) organized a panel discussion on "Periodic Inspection of Work Equipment and Prevention of Work Accidents" in Istanbul. The panel, which included representatives from the Tuzla and Dudullu Organized Industrial Zones, the Occupational Safety and Health Institute (İSGÜM) Work Equipment Unit, and industry professionals, was held on October 8, 2018, in the Dudullu Organized Industrial Zone and on October 9, 2018, in the Tuzla Organized Industrial Zone.

The panel included presentations on the following topics: New Era and Legislation in Periodic Inspections, Occupational Hygiene Measurements and Legislation, Lifting and Conveying Machinery, Pressure Vessels, Boilers, Fire Installations and Pumps, Ventilation Systems, Industrial Racks, Non-Destructive Testing, and Elevators.

Ali Kaan Çoktu, Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Specialist and Head of the OSH Equipment Unit at İSGÜM, and OSH Specialist Yusuf Ziya Bolat gave a presentation on "The New Era and Legislation in Periodic Inspections," answering questions and providing information on the application and legislation of periodic inspections. Additionally, Zekiye Karakaya, İSGÜM Istanbul Regional Manager, gave a presentation on occupational hygiene and measurements.
