Periodic Inspection Report: Validity Period and Contents

Short answer: The periodic inspection report is an official record documenting that the inspection has been carried out and that the equipment is compliant. Its validity period extends until the equipment is fully compliant. until the next periodic inspection date (usually one year). The report must include information about the authorized person conducting the inspection and the accredited organization.

The output of the periodic inspection is the most important document in the employer's possession during audits and in case of accidents. However, not every report is created equal; its content and who prepared it determine its legal validity.

  • Applied standards and methods
