With these amendments, consumers, provided they have the appropriate connection opinion from the network operator and are at the same metering point, <strong>greater installed power than contractual (agreement) power<\/strong> They can establish an electricity storage facility. The condition is the establishment of a control and interruption system that prevents the supply of energy to the grid and the exceeding of the contracted power when drawing energy from the grid. The amendments entered into force on the date of publication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What has changed?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><thead><tr><th>Regulations<\/th><th>Change<\/th><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td>Regulation on Storage Activities in the Electricity Market, Article 6\/1<\/td><td>Consumers may install storage facilities provided that the relevant network operator gives a suitable connection opinion and that they are located at the same metering point. Consumers who wish to install storage facilities with an installed capacity higher than the contracted capacity are obliged to install the units and systems specified in Article 14 of the Connection and System Usage Regulation.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Electricity Market Connection and System Usage Regulation, Article 14\/10 (new)<\/td><td>Consumers who wish to install storage facilities with an installed capacity exceeding their contracted capacity must ensure that energy is not supplied to the grid and that energy drawn from the grid does not exceed the existing contracted capacity. <strong>automatic power control unit<\/strong> with <strong>power cut-off system<\/strong> They are obliged to establish and take all necessary measures.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is required on the facility side?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Power outage to the grid:<\/strong> The storage facility must be designed so that it does not transfer energy from the connection point to the grid.<\/li><li><strong>Not exceeding the limits of the agreement:<\/strong> Even while the battery is charging, the power drawn by the facility from the grid must not exceed the contracted power.<\/li><li><strong>Automatic control and cutting:<\/strong> A power control unit that automatically satisfies these two conditions and a power cut-off system that activates if the limit is exceeded must be installed. In practice, the control limits the charging and discharging power of the storage system according to the measurement at the connection point; the details are determined in the connection opinion of the grid operator.<\/li><li><strong>Connection view:<\/strong> Before starting the installation, a suitable connection opinion must be obtained from the relevant distribution company or the Organized Industrial Zone (OSB) that holds the distribution license.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Electrical safety and periodic inspection<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The storage facility is part of the company&#039;s low-voltage electrical installation. The battery system, inverter, protective devices, and grounding are subject to periodic inspections of the electrical internal installation and grounding system, and these inspections are reported using the Ministry&#039;s mandatory report formats (ZPKR01 and ZPKR02).
